Lifestyles Supports program provides culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander & Cultured children, young people, individuals with a disability and children in out of home care, their families and communities.

We strive to engage and empower Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander & Cultured children, young people and individuals to achieve their aspirations, reduce barriers to reach positive outcomes.

Lifestyle Services

Independent Living Skills

  • Meal planning, cooking and nutrition
  • Money management
  • Domestic skills such as laundry and cleaning
  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Organising and attending appointments

Community, Social & Recreational Supports…Build Confidence and pursue interests:

  • Support to expand social networks and friendship groups
  • Practical skill building activities such as numeracy, literacy and financial management
  • Life and transition planning such as transitioning from school to adulthood
  • Volunteering opportunities with organisations such as meals on wheels and other community groups
  • Connection into REFOCUS Child & Family Wellbeing activities and Gunyah Of Wellness, Aboriginal Medical Service

Holiday Supports

  • Holiday planning, researching destinations and gathering information
